WELLINGTON, This Day Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington markets are quoted as follows: — Passion, fruit, 18s to 37s a half case; grapefruit, New Zealand, 6s to 12s a bushel case; lemons, Meyer, 6s to 10s 9d a half case: Chinese gooseberries, 8s to 14s 6d a half case; tree tomatoes, 6s to 11s a half case. Tomatoes, hothouse, Is to Is 6d a lb.; beans, hothouse, Is 3d to 2s a lb.; pumpkins, 5s to 9s 6d a sack. Potatoes, 10s to 15s a cwt.; onions, 10s to 13s a cental bag; kumeras. 7s to 10s a sugar-bag. . Sprouls. 13s to 28s 6d a case; cabbage, 3s to Gs a sack; cauliflowers, 4s to 9s a sack; lettuce, 4s to 22s 6d a case; spinach, 10s to 20s a case; silver beet, Is to 3s a case; marrows, 2s to 4s a case. Leeks, 8s to 12s 6d a case; parsnips, 8s to 14s a case; swedes, 3s to 5s 9d a case; beetroot, 4s Gd to Gs 3d a case; carrots, 5s to 9s Gd a case; celery, Auckland, 16s to 23s Gd a case; local, 7s to 14s; rhubarb, 3s to 20s a dozen bunches.
