ON ALL MAIN SECTORS OF EASTERN FRONT Successes of Russian Troops and Aircraft ABOUT 1000 TANKS DESTROYED IN ONE AREA ENEMY FORCE DEFEATED IN UKRAINE LONDON, July 14. Fighting on all the three main sectors of the Eastern front is reported in a Russian communique. In the north-west SBetor, repeated Russian counter-attacks, with heavy losses to the enemy, are reported. In the western sector (presumably along the line of the Dnieper) Russian troops and aircraft destroyed about 1,000 German tanks and a great number of enemy cars. In the south-west sector, the Ukraine, Russian forces defeatea an enemy unit of about 3,000, capturing a great number of guns, machine-guns, cars and ammunition. NAVAL VICTORY Gained by Russians in Baltic GERMANS LOSE 13 TRANSPORTS AND TWO DESTROYERS NUMBER OF OTHER VESSELS LEFT IN FLAMES A remarkable action is reported in the Baltic, according to a Russian communique. Transports carrying German troops and tanks, escorted by destroyers, smaller naval vessels and fighters, were attacked by the Russian Baltic Fleet and coastal batteries. The Germans lost two destroyers, 13 transports and a barge loaded with tanks. Thirteen other transports and destroyers were badly damaged and left in flames. The Russians had no losses either in ships or in aircraft.
