WEEKEND RESULTS MAHUNGA CLUB. LADIES’ MEDAL ROUND. A medal round was played on Saturday by members of the Mahunga Ladies’ Golf Club, the- following being the best scores: —Mrs Simpson, score 100, handicap 33, total 67; Mrs Torr, 91, 18, 73; Miss O. Long, 108, 35, 73. MEN’S COMPETITION. The winners of the fourball bestball bogey competition played on Saturday by the men members of the Mahunga Golf Club were G. B. Peterson and C. M. Walker who returned a card of 6 up. The next best cards returned were K. J. Rew and J. Thornton 5 up, and J. W. T. Jones and I. McFarlane 4 up. RIVERSIDE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP AND-OTHER RESULTS. Owing to the wet conditions on Saturday afternoon many players of the Riverside Golf Club did not complete their rounds. The best of the cards received for the medal round were: W. Palamontain 65, G. Ruston 68, R. Weafne 68, J. Ewen 71, R. Kember 71, A. McKenzie 71, A. Dixon 71. No ladies finished their round. Further championship matches were played and resulted as follow: — ■ Senior: R. Bell beat R. Kember; A. Bell beat A. Wyeth. ’ Intermediate: D. Costello beat F. Shearer; W. Palamontain beat D. Grimwood; A. Dixon beat F. Dwyer; R. Hatch beat F. Hallam; H. Dixon beat A. Hearle. Junior: A. Carstens beat J. Ewen; G. Ruston beat C. Walker; S. Herbert beat A. Levick; L. Cross beat R. Simpson.

MASTERTON CLUB STABLEFORD ROUND RESULTS A Stableford round was played by member of the Masterton Golf Club on Saturday afternoon. The best scores were: G. Brown 34, R. B. Cameron 33, W. H. Saunders 32. SAVAGES AT PLAV MASTERTON BEAT CARTERTON. A team comprising members of the Carterton Savage Club played a match against the Masterton Savages at the Riverside links yesterday afternoon. After a pleasant game in the sunshine the local members proved the victors by 1 up. The visitors were entertained at aftenloon tea and the special cup for the occasion was handed over amid enthusiasm by the players. A Stableford round played in conjunction with the match was won by A. McKenzie, 33.
