OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
LIGHTING RESTRICTIONS (To the Editor.) Sir.—-The fog of Saturday evening last proved an excellent chance for a{ local motorist to illuminate not only the road, but tho sky, with a set of tho most glaring headlights I have seen in action for a considerable period of time. Passing the Convent buildings on my way home, shortly before 9 p.m., I thought some big building was on fire in the Cornwall Street direction, only to find, when reaching the Central School area, that it was a fast-moving motor's lighting apparatus doing its best to make up for the restrictions imposed on local shopkeepers as far as neon lights arc concerned. It is just probable, on the other hand, that he was doing a little bit of searchlight experimenting for the local E.P.S.. If not, “whaffor,” as the Chinese say.—l am, etc., “ZEPPELIN."
