GERMAN VICTORY OVER RUSSIA
According to Berlin News Agency WAY TO MOSCOW SAID TO BE OPEN PROGRESS EAST OF MINSK (By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, July 13. The Berlin News Agency boasts that the piercing of the Stalin Line has brought'a complete German victory over Russia. Leningrad, it says, is immediately threatened and the occupation of Kiev is imminent. The route to Moscow has been opened up, there are lio further natural or artificial barriers and supply lines are assured for the Panzer divisions. Victory against Bolshevism has become a beautiful certainty. A German High Command communique claims that the centre of the German offensive was advanced 125 miles east of Minsk on Sunday. “The Times” Moscow correspondent says that while a battle is raging a few hundred miles away, the city is strangely calm and serene. Although many men have left for the front, no shortage of male civilians is noticeable on the streets. Russian manpower is inexhaustible.
