About 150 members, clerical and lay, are expected to attend the Wellington Diocesan Synod, which will open its session with Synod service in the Cathedral Church of St. Paul at 8 o’clock tonight. The Venerable Archdeacon E. J. Rich, vicar of Masterton, will give the sermon, and assisting in the service will be the Rev. E. O. Shield, acting vicar of Upper Hutt, and the Rev. V. W. Joblin and the Rev. H. Taepa, both of Masterton. The Bishop of Wellington, the Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, will preside over the Synod session, and will deliver his' charge at 10.30 tomorrow morning in the St. Paul’s schoolroom.
