NEUTRALITY AT PRESENT

IN RUSSO-GERMAN WAR

BUT MOVE AGAINST INDO-CHINA LIKELY. (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) SHANGHAI, July 11. A correspondent of the Associated Press of America says that reliable persons arriving from Tokio report that the Japanese Government has decided on neutrality in the German-Russian war at present, but that Japan will move soon against Indo-China. These sources said that Japanese policy was being influenced by the continued presence of tremendous Russian forces on the Asiatic front, including twelve mechanised divisions against Japan’s two. Moreover, in spite of the intensity of the war in eastern Europe, Russia still has a large air force within easy range of Japan.
