VISCOUNT HALIFAX

COMING VISIT TO LONDON. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, July 10. The British Ambassador to Washington, Lord Halifax, who has been in the United States for nearly a year, is to return to London for conversations with the Prime Minister, Mr Churchill, and other members of the Government. He will attend meetings of the War Cabinet, of which he is still a member. Following a conference with the Assistant Secretary of State, Mr Welles. Lord Halifax said he hoped to go to London for a visit for two or three weeks some time next month. He said that so far as he knew he would not remain in London. He wanted to see how the country was holding up and to obtain fresh information.
