RACING DATES

APPROVED BY CONFERENCE. NEW SEASON'S ALTERATIONS. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The dates of racing meetings, as submitted by racing, jockey and hunt clubs using the totalisator for holding race meetings during the ensuing season, 1941-42, were approved by the Racing Conference yesterday, subject to the following amendments:— Poverty Eay Turf Club granted September 20 and 22 for the race meeting to be conducted on its behalf by the Te Aroha Jockey Club for the ensuing season only, and that for the following season the club be required to select dates between May 1 and August 31. Masterton Racing Club, October 9, 11, as applied for. Otaki Maori Racing Club, October 18. in lieu of October 11. Ashburton County Racing Club, November 29, in lieu of November 22. Thames Jockey Club, August 9 and January 24, in lieu of January 24 and 26. Wairoa Racing Club. February 5 and 7, in lieu of January 29, 31. Poverty Bay Turf Club, February 14, in lieu of February 7. Tolaga Bay Jockey Club, February 21, in lieu of February 14. Woodville District Jockey Chib be granted February 21, 23, as applied for. Waiapu Racing Club, February 28, in lieu of February 21. Rangitikei Racing Club, February 28. in lieu of March 7. Manawatu Racing Club. March 19, 21, in lieu of March 21, 23. Otautau Racing Club, January 31, in lieu of March 28. The application by the Otaki Maori Racing Club for April 11 was not granted. but the club was requested to select another date. Levin Racing Club was offered January 10 in lieu of April 18 or a two-day meeting, one of which days would be November 22. South Canterbury Jockey Club, April 18, as applied for. Nelson Jockey Club, February 14, 16, in lieu of May 2, 4. Foxton Racing Club, May 23, in lieu of May 30. Wanganui Jockey Club. April 16, 18. for the two days' racing for which it wished the executive committee to grant dates.
