A SPLENDID SHOW
POULTRY, PIGEONS AND BIRDS DISPLAY AT CARTERTON. HIGH PRAISE FOR EXHIBITS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Throughout yesterday afternoon there was a fair attendance at the annual show of the Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon and Cage Bird Association at Carterton. Complimentary remarks were heard on all sides concerning the excellent class of birds on exhibition. The secretary, Mr Oscar Anderson, and a hard working committee, carried out their duties in a most proficient manner. The stewards, Mrs Eccles and Misses M. A. Taucher and T. Edge, did splendid work in assisting the judges in the various classes. There were large entries in most sections and the task of the judges was by no means an easy cne. The birds were staged in splendid condition and were a credit to the exhibitors. The show is one of the best ever staged in the province and is well worth a visit. The following is the prize list.
