EXPORT KILLINGS. OFFICIAL FIGURES. The official figures of export killings at the Dominion’s freezing works from October 1, 1940, till June 28, 1941, as issued by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board show that lamb killings have reached a total of 11,151,110 or 797,338 carcases above that of the previous season. Ewe killings now show a decrease of 385,816 carcases compared with the previous season, the current total being 1.531,528. Wethers have declined by 692,376, the killings this season totalling 611,129. Porker killings (209,136 in the North Island, and 7,953 in the South) show an increase of 125,563 carcases. Baconer killings were as follows:—North Island 280,064, South Island 9,180, a decrease this season of 36,008 carcases. Killings of choppers total 10,197,' being a decrease of 945.
