ENEMY AIR LOSSES
TWENTY FIGHTERS SHOT DOWN ON TUESDAY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.55 p.m.) RUGBY, July 9. An Air Ministry communique states that it is now known that another enemy fighter was destroyed during Tuesday’s offensive operations, making a total of twenty destroyed during the day. It was shot down by a fighter pilot who subsequently came down in the sea and was rescued. ‘•There is nothing to report,” states a communique dealing with activity over Britain on Wednesday.
