SPLENDID DISPLAY

POULTRY, PIGEONS AND BIRDS EXHIBITION AT CARTERTON TODAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon and Cage Bird Association's annual show opened in the King's Theatre, Carterton, this morning. The class of birds exhibited from many parts of the North Island are considered by competent judges to be equal to anything shown in New Zealand. The judges are Mr Jas. Mason (Wellington), who judged Old English Game and Bantam classes; Mr Oscar Anderson (Carterton), all other poultry and the duck sections, and Mr Janies M, Nicholls, cage birds and pigeons. The judging commenced at 10 o’clock. The judges had a strenuous time in making their awards, so excellent was the competition. The entries have been well staged and the public should be very interested in this year’s show.
