CARD PARTY PATRIOTIC EFFORT. (‘■Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at the Patriotic card party on Saturday night. The card winners were: Mrs R. Houlbrooke and Mr Reed, 1; Mrs Hislop and Mr Harman Senr. won the consolation prizes. Dancing was induldged in until midnight. Football. Tiraumea defeated Pongaroa at football on the Tiraumea grounds on Saturday by 12 points to 8. Mr W. Ratu controlled the game. Tries were scored for Tiraumea by S. Smith, B. Churchouse and F. Herbert. Personal Items. Mrs Dare has returned to Tiraumea and is staying with her daughter, Mrs Wright. Mr L. Wallis spent a few days in Masterton. Mr Gordon Hart had the misfortune to injure a leg on Saturday when his horse slipped and fell on him. Mr and Mrs Hansen, Haunui, have left on a motoring holiday. Provincial f
