REPORTED AMERICAN CONDITION RESISTANCE TO GERMAN INVASION. MR DE VALERA AGGRIEVED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) ■ (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) DUBLIN, July 8. Mr do Valera announced in the Dail that Mr Aiken’s visit to the United States had resulted in two. ships being provided to bring supplies to Eire. Unfortunately it would be impossible .to obtain arms. He had no indication, apart from Press reports, that deliveries of American ammunition were dependent on a promise from Eire to resist a German invasion. Eire’s determination to resist attack had been made abundantly clear. It was difficult to see the object of such a condition.
