AN INTERESTING ADDRESS.

A large number of members of the Women's Voluntary Services attended at the lecture room, Municipal Buildings last evening to hear a lecture arranged by the Voluntary Aid Detachment of the St. John Ambulance Brigade and given by Miss M. Brown, tutor sister at the Masterton Hospital. She dealt with infectious diseases and the social problems arising from them, and explained how these diseases were present in normal times, but wer f greatly aggravated by war conditions.

Sister Brown was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for her interesting address.
