IN NORTHERN FRANCE
DAMAGE DONE TO AIRCRAFT FACTORY. BUILDINGS HIT AND FIRES STARTED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) RUGBY, July 7. In offensive operations in Northern France this morning. R.A.F. heavy bombers attacked aircraft works at Meaulte, near Albert, Buildings were hit by heavy bombs and incendiary bombs started a number of fires. Three enemy fighters were destroyed by escorting R.A.F. fighters. We lost two fighters, but both of the pilots are safe.
