Miss Judith lorns, of Martinborough, is visiting Palmerston North. Mrs P. B. Cameron is a .Martinborough visitor to Palmerston North. Mrs S. F. Herbert has returned to Pongaroa from a visit to Feilding. Mrs R. D. McGregor, of Pongaroa, is on a visit to relatives in Masterton. The following is a list of Mastertori candidates who obtained passes in the State final examination for pupil nurses held last month:—Passes: M. N. Voyle, H. A. C. Hamilton, R. E. James, G. M. Mitchell, K. M. Sullivan. Completed pass: N. B. Weggory. The Dominion president of the Plunket Society, Mrs James Begg, Dunedin, has received the following cablegram from the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser: —“I have heard with the deepest regret of the death of Miss Hoddinott. Please accept and convey to the Plunket Society my sincere sympathy in their great loss. - ’ Miss Hoddinott, whose death occurred recently, had been secretary of the Plunket Society for many years.
