RUGBY FOOTBALL

RED STAR CLUB MEETING OF COMMITTEE. CUP DONATED FOR COMPETITION. A meeting of the committee of the Red Star Football Club was held at the residence of Mr R. Milne, Kuripuni Street, when Mr S. Henson occupied the chair. Reference was made to the fact that the play in the senior and third grade teams had shown considerable improvement lately. ’ A vote of thanks was passed to the donor of a cup to be awarded to the most improved player in the third grade team, tackling to be specially considered in the making of the award. It. was,decided to draw attention to the fact "that it was important that coaches should regularly forward the names of teams to the Wairarapa Rugby Union on the cards provided. Several other matters of interest to the club were discussed. Supper was provided by Mrs A. C. Milne, who was warmly thanked for her hospitality.
