Early Morning Fire.

Extensive damage was caused to the Colonial Carrying Company’s store. in Cable Street, Wellington, by fire which broke out early this morning. The building was heavily stocked with miscellaneous goods such as furniture and merchandise held on behalf of a large number of clients. The fire is believed to have started in the roof, and was of sufficient dimensions for a general brigade call. The damage was largely confined to one section of the building.
