COAL & POWER
STRICT ECONOMY IN BRITAIN. (Received This Day, 10.0 a.m.i RUGBY, July 3. An immediate restriction of coal purchases was announced yesterday, when the Secretary for Mines, Mr D. R. Grenfell, stated that, in order to meet the needs of rising war production, non-industrial premises will only be allowed a ton of coal each month. Rigid economy in electricity is also enjoined.
