NAZI CONCERN

OVER BATTLE IN REAR THREAT TO COMMUNICATIONS.

PUSH TOWARDS MOSCOW. LONDON, July 2. None of the many German-con-trolled sources of information can disguise that the battles behind the advanced German columns are causing increasing concern to the German High Command. The Russians have brought up reserves, including tank divisions, from Moscow, and are reported to be counter-attacking on the central front. German and Germanophile reports, however, insist that the Russians are facing decisive defeats between Murmansk and Lvov. One source claims that Murmansk has actually fallen, and another reports a three-pronged attack on Leningrad. Further south they claim that the Germans are pushing nearer and nearer Moscow, in spite of the lack of decision in mass battles far behind them.
