JAPANESE REGRET
INJURY TO BRITISH OFFICIAL. DURING RAID ON CHUNGKING. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) SHANGHAI. July 1. A Japanese Navy spokesman expressed official regret at the injuries suffered by Sir A. Blackburn (Counsellor at the British Embassy in Chungking) and suggested that, to eliminate future danger, the British Embassy should evacuate to a safety zone on the south bank of the Yangtse, where the United States Embassy is situated.
