STATE MUTTON DEPOT
THE FAMILY JOINT CENTRE,
The war conditions have brought about a situation in the farming in^ s " try which means a serious loss unless« the surplus mutton in the can be disposed of. One way of ing the war effort of New Zealand is by eating more mutton, and thus helping to use up the surplus stocks now accumulating. With this object in view the State Mutton Depot, next dooi to the State Theatre in Queen Street, Masterton, will be opened on Friday next. At cheap prices there will be made available to the public legs, loins and forequarters of prime ewe and wether mutton, killed fresh daily. At the prices which will be charged it will be impossible to provide wrapping paper, and customers are requested to bring their own wrapping material, such as a flour bag. The proprietor of the depot states that only legs, loins and forequarters will be sold. While the prices charged will be low, the quality will be high, and Masterton housewives should make the State Mutton Depot their family joint centre.—P.B.A.
