Mrs F. A. Martin, of Puketana, Bay of Islands, is visiting Konini. Mrs H. C. Webster, of Carterton, has been on a visit' to Pahiatua. Mrs J. Gaskin, of Lower Hutt, and formerly of Eketahuna, is a visitor to Pahiatua.
Mr and Mrs A. McPhail, Dixon Street, Masterton, have received advice from their son, Pte Rance McPhail, that he is fit and well. Mrs J. P. Lambert, of the Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, is the first woman to be elected an official judge of the New Zealand Jersey Cattle Breeders' Association.
Miss Helen E. Wilton, formerly of Wairarapa College, and daughter cf Mr and Mrs D. E. Wilton, late of Masterton, and now of Waituna West, has accepted a position on the staff of the Feilding post office.
