A wide range of subjects was discussed, including'the recent riots outside the British Embassy. General Franco expressed himself strongly about the riots, which he assured Sir S. Hoare were strongly condemned by the Spanish Government who would punish the offenders and. take all steps necessary to prevent a recurrence.
