CONDEMNATION OF RECENT RIOTS OUTSIDE THE BRITISH EMBASSY. OFFENDERS TO BE PUNISHED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) RUGBY. June 29. Sir Samuel Hoare. British Ambassador in Madrid, had a long interview with General Franco yesterday. It is learned, in authoritative circles that Senor Suner was present. A wide range of subjects was discussed, including'the recent riots outside the British Embassy. General Franco expressed himself strongly about the riots, which he assured Sir S. Hoare were strongly condemned by the Spanish Government who would punish the offenders and. take all steps necessary to prevent a recurrence.
