RADIO LOCATION
0 .— EXTENSIVE SYSTEM PLANNED IN AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright' CANBERRA. June 26. The Minister of Air, Mr McEwen, announced the Government’s intention to set up an extensive system of radio location to forewarn Australians of enemy raids. He said that a school would be opened immediately to train the staff necessary to operate the apparatus.
ACTION IN NEW ZEALAND. CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF WORK DONE. “Wo have been working on radio location in New Zealand for some time.” said the Acting-Prime Minister. Mr Nash, when his attention was drawn to the Australian cable. Mr Nash said that an- organisation had been set up in this country and was working in co-operation with the New Zealand University. He added that, though he could not say that they were doing exactly the same thing as in Australia, a considerable amount of work on radio location had been done in this country.
