.fr. _ NORWAY’S MERCANTILE MARINE & NAVY. IMPORTANT SERVICES RENDERED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON. June 27. The Norwegian Foreign Minister. Mr Trygve Lie, paid a tribute to the Norwegian merchant navy, which he said “lined up loyally in the Allied cause." He claimed that the Norwegian merchant navy, totalling 4.000.000 tons,_ was carrying a quarter of the goods' and half the petrol reaching Britain.
He added that the Norwegian navy had been allotted certain tasks in the Battle of the Atlantic.
