The Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, Minister of Health, left Wellington for the south by the steamer express last night. Mr A. R. King, of Coromandel, is spending a holiday with his parents, Mr and Mrs R. J. King. Oxford Street, Masterton. Mr King is postmaster at Coromandel. Mr E. A. Field, Foxton, was unanimously re-elected president of the New Zealand National Beekeepers’ Association at the annual conference in Wellington yesterday afternoon. Mr 11. M. Nicolson, of Otaki, and formerly of Masterton and Carterton, who underwent an operation at (he Hobson Street Hospital. Wellington, this week, is reported to be progressing satisfactorily. Mr C. W. Gaze, general secretary of the Masterton Y.M.C.A., has received advice that his son, Second Lieutenant G. C. Gaze, who left New Zealand with the Second Echelon, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Gaze is engaged in instruction work in the Middle East. Mr L. J. Wild, Feilding, was re-elect-ed president of the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand at the annual meeting of the society in Wellington yesterday. Messrs C. K. White, Hastings, and W. M. Bishell, Blenheim, were re-elected vice-presidents. Mr A. Hunter, Hawera, was re-elected treasurer.
