TRADITIONS UPHELD

VALOUR OF THE ANZACS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, June 25. The New Zealand Minister of Lands, Mr Langstone_, at an Anzac War Relief Fund reception, said New Zealand was only a small nation but at the outset of the war she stood with Britain, pledging all her wealth and resources. “Our sacrifice is not comparable with the heroic fortitude of our kith and kin in Britain,” he. said, “but everyone is justifiably proud of the heroic stand made by the Anzacs. We feel that their courageous stand in North Africa, Greece, and Crete is worthy of the highest traditions of the New Zealand and Australian fighting forces.”
