FIVE RESCUED
SURVIVORS FROM BRITISH FLYING-BOAT CRASH IN BAY OF BISCAY. NINE PERSONS DROWNED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON. June 24. A Berlin radio message announced that a German plane picked up five survivors from the Sunderland flyingboat. which crashed in the Bay of Biscay on its way to Cairo from England. Nine persons were drowned. The rescued included Brigadier R L. Taverner.
