Prices of fruit and vegetables at the Wellington market are quoted as follows: — Grapes, 2s 6d to 2s lOd a lb.; passion fruit, 14s to 27s a half case; grapefruit, N.Z., 4s to 8s a bushel case; lemons Meyer, 9s to 14s a half case; Chinese gooseberries, 8s to 13s a half case; tree tomatoes, 6s to 9s a half case. Tomatoes, hothouse, 9d to Is 5d a lb.; beans, hothouse, Is to Is 5d a lb.: green peas, choice. lOd to Is 2d a lb.; pumpkins, 5s to 15s 6d a sack. Potatoes, Is to 14s a cwt.; onions, 7s to 12s a cental bag; kumeras, 10s to 13s a sugar bag. Sprouts. 10s to 18s a sugar bag; cabbage, 4s 6d to 7s 6d a sack; cauliflowers, 8s to 17s a sack; lettuce, 2s to 13s a case; spinach, Bs'to 19s a case; silver beet. Is 6d to 4s a case; marrows, 2s fid to 5s a case. Leeks, 9s to 12s 3d a case; parsnips, 8s to 12s 6d a case; swedes, 2s to 4s 6d a case; beetroot, 3s to 7s a case; carrots, 6s to 9s a case; celery, 9s to 14s a case; rhubarb, 6s to 20s a dozen bunches.
