CALL ON WOMEN DRIVERS SIGNS OF READY RESPONSE. ANOTHER FORTY THOUSAND WANTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day. 12.45 p.m.) LONDON. June 23. A great recruiting drive for the Auxiliary Transport Service aims to enrol over 40.000 women before the end of August. The Army has asked for more A.T.S. to replace men. A. training school which was opened for women drivers drew 8,000 recruits in the first eight days.
