MEMORIAL LIGHT
SEEM AS POSSIBLE DANGER IN WELLINGTON. NO ACTION AT PRESENT. <By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. On top of the National War Memorial Carillon burns continually a light as a perpetual memorial to the spirit of the men who laid down their lives in the last war. Although its symbolic value is great, the question has been raised that it is a dangerous guide in the event of an enemy making a raid. The Light Controller does not consider it dangerous at the moment. It has been arranged for the Carillon Committee to use a small light if the need arises, or even none at all should that be desirable.
