102 GERMAN PLANES DESTROYED IN SEVEN DAYS
In Course of British Offensive Sweeps TWENTY-NINE OF OUR PLANES LOST NAZIS MAKE LITTLE EFFORT TO CONTEST LATER ATTACKS LONDON, June 23. The R.A.F, in its seventh successive daylight sweep over Northern France, destroyed at least another seven German planes. So far these sweeps have cost the Germans 102 planes, 65 in the last three days. Possibly on account of these losses, the Germans sent up . fewer planes to give battle to the Blenheim bombers and squadrons of fighters. Only one of the British squadrons had a real ‘ encounter with the enemy. Four Messerschmitts were shot down by this squadron, bringing - the total score for the station from which this squadron operates to 710. The British lost two fighters and the total British losses in the seven days’ offensive are 29 planes.
