BOV SCOUTS

WAIRARAPA DISTRICT. MEETING AT GREYTOWN. A well attended meeting of Scouts in the Wairarapa district was held at Greytown on Saturday. Mr Allsop. District Scoutmaster, presided and several matters of interest were discussed. Insurance for Scouts working in conjunction with the Emergency Precaution Scheme, was a subject discussed. As it is understood that the District Committee has the matter in hand, it was hoped that it would be finalised as soon as possible so that Scoutmasters would be in a position to co-operate more fully with the E.P.S. Mr R. Barton, the District Commissioner. was unable to be present, owing to having sustained injuries in an accident. His speedy recovery is looked forward to by all scouts in the Wairarapa. It was decided to hold the next meeting on September 13. at. Carterton. and that all Scouts should make an effort to be present, as several matters of importance are to be discussed.
