AMERICAN SUBMARINE LAST SEEN NEAR COAST. RESCUE SHIP AT WORK. LONDON. June 20. Serious concern is felt for the fate of an American submarine which is seven hours overdue. She was last seen ten miles off the American coast, in waters 150 feet \ deep. The missing vessel, which has a complement of two officers and 31 ratings, was first commissioned in 1918. A rescue ship is at work.
