HARD-FOUGHT WORLD TITLE BOUT. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) NEW YORK. June 19. Joe Louis defeated Billy Conn with a knock-out in the thirteenth round of a world heavyweight boxing championship bout. There were 50.090 onlookers. Conn was leading on points to the tenth round in an electrifying battle, and it seemed that the mighty negro was heading for defeat when the challenger stopped a smashing right hook on the chin early in the thirteenth, which floored him. Conn was trying to rise when the timekeeper completed Ihe count.
