CYCLIST INJURED

KNOCKED DOWN BY TAXI. A Masterton cyclist was knocked down by a taxi in High Street last evening and admitted to Masterton Hospital with multiple abrasions. He was’ Mr Alfred George Loft, of 190 Dixon Street. The taxi concerned was driven by Mr H. W. Clarke, of Masterton. Both the taxi and the cyclist were proceeding in a northerly direction along High Street. The taxi, it is stated, had just passed another car when the cyclist came into view. Dr N. H. Prior attended to the injured man. who was removed to hospital. Mr Loft's condition this morning was reported to be quite satisfactory.
