BASES IN BRAZIL
FOR USE IN EMERGENCY AMERICAN NEGOTIATIONS. LOAN TO REPUBLIC PROPOSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day. 12.20 p.m.) NEW YORK. June 16. The United States is negotiating with Brazil for the construction of air bases on the Brazilian coast, for use in an emergency. An official of the Brazilian Embassy in Washington revealed that the United States plans to lend Brazil £21.350 000 to construct bases.
