HUGE TUNNEL
CONSTRUCTION IN HAWAII. RAID SHELTER AND FOOD STORE. (By T< legraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day. 12.20 p.m.) HONOLULU. June 16. Army officials disclosed plans for the construction of a hugh food-storage tunnel, 600 feet long, equipped with its own power and water, on Oahu Island (Hawaii), which can be used as an emergency air-raid shelter. The cost is estimated at 750000 dollars and the construction will begin on August 1 and will take until September.
