Continued Efforts to Avoid Needless Bloodshed POWERFUL ALLIED FORCES OUTSIDE DAMASCUS ALEPPO AERODROME AGAIN BOMBED LONDON,. .June 16. Heavy fighting has developed in the central sector of the Syrian front, although the Allied forces are making every e or to avoid unnecessary bloodshed. Very powerful Allie o are said to be outside Damascus. Aleppo aerodrome has been bombed and elsewhere two hostile aircraft have been shot down.
