SLOWED BY RAIN

ENCIRCLEMENT OF JIMMA BRITISH AND ABYSSINIANS CLOSING IN. ON REMNANTS OF ITALIAN FORCES. LONDON. Juno 15. Reports received in Cairo this afternoon state that operations against the remnants of the Italian forces in Abyssinia continue slowly but satisfactorily in heavy rain, which makes troop movements difficult. Strong patriot forces are assisting Imperial troops to complete the encirclement of Jimma. West African and Belgian troops are also engaged and the South African Air Force is constantly raiding the Italian positions.
