SALE AT FEILDING STEADY DEMAND. SATISFACTORY PRICES REALISED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING. June 13. Despite very unfavourable weather at Feilding today, there was steady demand for all stock offered at the sale. Prices were satisfactory. Fat sheep: Ewes made up the bulk of the supply, wethers and lambs being scarce. For good ewes, prices were steady. Extra prime ewes made 13s 7d to 16s 4d, prime 11s 3d to 12s 7d, unfinished 7s 4d to 10s 10s; prime wethers, 23s 3d to 23s lOd, light 21s 3d; light lambs, 16s 4d to 18s 7d. Store sheep: Good breeding ewes found a ready market, as also did bet-ter-quality lambs. Small and inferior lambs were slow of sale. Very good four to five-year ewes made 22s 3d, fair 18s 9d, poor 7s Id to 12s 9d; m.a. ewes, 13s 6d; average-quality twotooth ewes, 25s 6d; best ewe lambs. 20s, others 17s 2d to 17s 9d; -b.f. lambs, small, 12s 4d, inferior 9s to 10s lOd; wether lambs, best 14s 7d to 15s 3d, others 8s 6d to 13s. Store cattle: Some good-quality, rough station stock was offered, and made satisfactory values. Yearling A.A. steers made £4 Is to £4 7s 6d; 20-month Hereford steers, £5 7s; twoyear A.A. steers, £6 Ils to £7 7s 6d; two-year Hereford steers, £6 12s; boner cows, £2 17s 6d to £3 15s; yearling Jersey heifers, £2 17s 6d to £3 10s. Fat cattle: Well-finished ox beef was in firm demand at improved prices, while heifers and cows were firm at late rates. Prime ox made £lO 7s 6d to £lO 17s 6d; light prime, £8 17s 6d to £9 17s 6d; light prime heifers, £6 17s 6d to £7" 7s 6d, others £5 7s 6d to £5 17s 6d; light prime cows, £5 17s 6d to £6 12s 6d; ex-dairy cows. £4 5s to £5 12s 6d; vealers, £2 7s 6d. Dairy cattle: A few select springing cows and heifers made improved rates. Best springing heifers made £ll 5s to £l3 ss. second-grade £8 ss; springing cows, £ll 10s. Pigs: Another good sale resulted for pigs. Values were firm. Weaners, large, made 14s, small 7s; slips, small, 15s to 17s; stores, . 24s to 30s; heavy porkers. 545.

Ltd., report as follows: —A small yardng of sheep, cattle and pigs came 'orward at the Carterton sale yesterlay and was offered to a fair attend>nce. All classes of stock sold well ’P to late rates and a total clearance vas effected under the hammer. The ’oilowing are some of the realisations: Sheep: 2-th ewes r.w. S.D. rams, to 25s 3d; m.a. ewes r.w. S.D. rams, to 13s 8d; failing mouthed ewes r.w. S.D.. !s Cd; fat and fwd. wether hoggets, 16s Id. 17s Cd to 18s; medium woolly wether hoggets, to 13s 3d; fat hoggets, Us to 255. Cattle: Prime fat cows (heavy), £7 'Os, £8 to £8 10s; fat cows, £4 18s, ”5 10s. £5 15s to £G; forward cows, E 3 10s to £4 Ils: store cows, £2 to E2 17s 6d: cows and calves, to £5 12s. Pigs: Baconcrs, £2 18s to £3 9s; oorkers. 34s to £2 10s; light porkers. ?7s 6d to 325: store pigs. 17s to 225; lips, Ils to 15s; weaners, 9s to 13s.
