CITY PRACTICALLY SURROUNDED
Forces Awaiting Orders to Move In CONVERSATIONS REPORTED IN PROGRESS DESIRE TO OBVIATE STRIFE AND BLOODSHED LONDON, June 13. The Allied forces around Damascus are reported to be awaiting orders to move in. Damascus is said to be practically surrounded by British, Indian and Free French troops. Conversations are in progress with a view to obviating useless strife and bloodshed.
