HOW TO CLEAN THEM. Mix. a pound of flowers of sulphur with half a pound of powdered saltpetre, and occasionally, when the fire is red and clear, throw in an ounce or two of the mixture. This removes accumulated dust and soot jind saves the necessity of frequent chimney sweeping.
