SIXTY PER CENT REDUCTION IN AUSTRALIA. TAKING EFFECT NEXT MONTH. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY. July 13. Rationing of newsprint begins in Australia early in July. The Commonwealth Government has notified daily, weekly and periodical proprietors that a 60 per cent reduction of newsprint consumption based on the year ended June, 1938, is to be applied to the newspaper industry.
