DIAMOND CUTTER CASE

CLAIM DISMISSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N, June 11. A verbal judgment in the case in which Alexander McMullian, farmer, Stratford, proceeded against William Crawford, printer, Palmerston North, claiming £l6B, the purchase price of the racehorse, Diamond Cutter, interest thereon, money expended in taking the horse from Trentham to Stratford and for feeding, caring for and training it, was given today in the Supreme Court, Palmerston North by Mr Justice Johnston. His Honour found that the horse was sound and that it was clear that bleeding had been caused by a strap put on the horse being too tight. The claim was dismissed, and judgment given for defendant.
