ENEMY’S THREE TIMES GREATER DURING FIRST FOUR MONTHS OF YEAR. SIR A. SINCLAIR'S SURVEY. LONDON. June 10. Enemy losses of aircraft are three times greater than those of the R.A.F. in the' first four months of this year, the Secretary of Air (Sir A. Sinclair) stated in the House of Commons. Biitain in that period lost 360 planes and the enemy 1141. Of the latter 494 were German and 637 Italian. Last month 447 enemy aircraft were destroyed. Of these 207 were destroyed over or round Great Britain. 144 by night. There was little enemy air activity over this country today. • The R.A.F. yesterday attacked shipping off the coast of Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium and France and shot down at least one enemy fighter into the sea. Four British planes are missing.
