AMERICAN SHIP
TORPEDOED BY IFBOAT WHILE ON WAY TO CAPE TOWN. ELEVEN SURVIVORS PICKED UP. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON. June 9. The Brazilian steamship Osorio picked up 11 members of the crew of the United States freighter Robin Moor, en route to Cape Town. The Navy Department intercepted radio messages indicating that the Robin Moor was torpedoed by a U-boat on May 20.
The Robin Moor carried a crew of 27 and eight passengers.
